Group outing to the summit of Salève

Whether with friends, family, in an association, or as a company outing, Mont Salève is the ideal setting for a group excursion in the heart of nature, just outside Geneva. A cable car ride, 360° panoramic views, outdoor activities, nature-based entertainment, and a delicious break at the mountain restaurant… everything is there for a friendly and refreshing day out, accessible to all.

Just 20 minutes from Geneva and 15 minutes from Annemasse, Mont Salève offers a complete change of scenery without the hassle of a long journey. The cable car ride is an experience in itself, and once at the summit, the setting takes care of the rest: panoramic views of Lake Geneva and Mont Blanc, wide-open spaces in the mid-mountain region, and pure mountain air at 1,100 meters altitude.

Whether it’s for a day out with friends, a club meeting, or a company event, everything is conveniently located: nature activities, guided tours, outdoor sports, and a panoramic restaurant. No need to rush from one place to another; the mountain takes care of everything.

And with attractive group rates and simplified booking, the organization is as easy as the day is memorable.

What to do at Salève in a group?

The summit of Salève is full of activities to share, whether your group is sporty, curious or simply looking for a good time in the great outdoors.

Accessible with your cable car ticket, the 360° panoramic terrace  is a must-see. Geneva, Lake Geneva, the Jura Mountains, the Alps, and Mont Blanc unfold before your eyes. Informative panels are placed throughout the terrace to help you identify the peaks and learn more about the landscape.

Several hiking trails are accessible from the arrival station, catering to all levels. The path to the observatory offers a new perspective in just 30 minutes (1.7 km — elevation gain: +153 m). A perfect way to enjoy the great outdoors with a group without any difficulty.

Over 100 m² of exhibition space to immerse yourself in the history, geology, and biodiversity of Mont Salève. The visit is free and open to all with a cable car ticket: everyone can explore at their own pace, between other activities.

Looking for thrills? The “Grande Varappe” is our outdoor climbing wall. 20m high by 11m wide, accessible to beginners as well as the more comfortable, it is the ideal activity to push your limits together and share some adrenaline rushes at the top.
