From June 26, 2026, families will have a new reason to get a bird’s-eye view. The Salève cable car is expanding its offerings with a brand new nature playground, free access at the summit and designed for children aged 2 to 12.
Located in an exceptional Natura 2000 protected area, this installation invites young children to explore, climb, overcome obstacles, and develop their imagination while enjoying the unique setting of Mont Salève.
A new free activity for families
Designed to blend seamlessly into the landscape, this playground offers a variety of play structures that encourage free play, motor skills development, and exploration.
Wooden structures, balance courses, exploration areas, and games adapted for different age groups make up this new play space. Children can play freely while parents enjoy the exceptional panoramic views from the summit of Mont Salève.
Easily accessible from the cable car arrival station, the playground complements the many activities already available on site.

Nestled in the heart of a protected natural area, the playground was designed with eco-responsibility in mind.

The official inauguration of the playground will take place on Friday, June 26, 2026, in the presence of elected officials from the Annemasse metropolitan area, the municipality of Monnetier-Mornex, and the partners who contributed to the project.
This inauguration will mark the opening to the public of this new facility, which further enhances the appeal of the Salève cable car for families and visitors to the region.
