Between sky and mountain, a unique experience
Just a few meters from the cable car arrival station, the Salève summit launch site has been completely renovated. Better integrated into the landscape and designed to welcome visitors in optimal conditions, it offers an ideal starting point for paragliding.
From the summit, the view is already impressive… but once airborne, it becomes simply unforgettable: Lake Geneva, the city of Geneva, the Mont Blanc massif, the Alps, and the Jura Mountains. It’s one of the few spots in Haute-Savoie where you can enjoy such a contrast between city and mountain, just minutes from the urban center.
Takeoff is directly from the summit of Salève, in a specially prepared area. Once airborne, the flight lasts between 15 and 40 minutes, depending on the conditions and the chosen package. Paragliding can be enjoyed early in the day or as a complement to another activity at the summit : ride, climbing, lunch at the restaurant or simply a moment of relaxation.

An activity accessible to all
Among the iconic hiking trails on Mont Salève, the Pas de l’Échelle trail stands out for its challenging nature and rich history. From the cable car station, this direct ascent to the summit begins with an impressive 119 steps carved into the rock. Along the way, you follow the route of the old electric cog railway, which connected Geneva to the summit of Mont Salève between 1893 and 1935.
The Pas de l’Échelle is perfect for active hikers who want to explore local heritage! Once you reach the cable car station, the reward awaits: a panoramic view of the Geneva basin, Lake Geneva, and the Jura Mountains.
Note: This trail is not recommended for families with young children. It has a significant elevation gain and is not suitable for everyone. The ground can be slippery in wet weather.
