What if we discovered the landscape differently… by using all our senses?
From the terrace of the Salève cable car, children are invited to explore their surroundings in a fun and immersive way. This sensory activity offers an original approach to observing, listening to, and experiencing the landscape around us.
Using binoculars, participants begin by observing the mountain and its surroundings. They learn to identify the different elements of the landscape, to better understand them, while discovering surprising facts about their environment.
The exploration continues with hearing: through a series of sounds, children have fun recognizing different landscapes. An original way to become aware of the soundscape specific to each natural environment.
Then it’s time for touch with a mystery game. Participants handle a hidden object and must guess in which environment it is located. A playful moment that stimulates their curiosity and imagination.
The children then step into the shoes of an animal to reflect on its natural habitat and understand the links between species and their environment.
Finally, a group game concludes the activity: guessing a landscape by asking questions, observing, and using your imagination.
An ideal activity for learning to observe differently, developing your senses, and better understanding the richness and diversity of the Salève landscapes.
